Dr. Anupama Hooda joined Max Healthcare in November 2009 and bears a pan Max responsibility. Dr. Hooda is current Chief of Medical Oncology and Haematology at Saket and Gurgaon. Prior to joining Max Hospital, Dr. Hooda was working in the United States of America (over 10 yrs). She has held appointments in various hospitals in New York and New Jersey including State University of New York. Most recently, Dr. Hooda had been involved in the development and planning of Steeplechase Cancer Center, New Jersey. She had an integral role in development of disease site specific teams at the center and is still a key part of Sanofi Aventis Breast Cancer Institute at Steeplechase through her volunteer part time work there. During her professional development, she has been involved with various aspects of research and has been a Principal Investigator in many National(USA) and International trials. She also has many publications in peer reviewed journals. Her areas of expertise and interest are Female organ malignancy like Breast Cancer, Gastrointestinal malignancies and Lung cancer. Dr. Hooda is also a trained Haematologist and takes keen interest in treating various Benign and Malignant haematological diseases. One of the main areas of focus for her in India will be cancer screening, awareness and early diagnosis.
