Sudani Patient’s Successful Bone Marrow Transplant at BLK Hospital, Delhi, India

Master Tunn Lynn is a child from Sudan and was suffering from severe plastic anemia. This ailment is a condition in which the body does not produce blood cells and platelets on its own. The child’s family was distraught due to his condition. The process of treatment was also very tedious because Tunn Lynn’s body was not responding to the drugs that were being given to him. His body still did not start producing blood cells in spite of heavy medication. This is the reason that he had to be given frequent blood transfusion and platelet transfusion. These transfusions had to be done frequently and this was a very painful situation for the young child. His parents also suffered along with the child and they wanted a sure shot cure for the problem. .

Finally they decided to come to India because they had heard about bone marrow transplant treatment in this country. They had heard about Dr. Dharma Choudhary and they brought their son for treatment to BLK hospital. Dr. Dharma Choudhary says that the patient’s younger brother had bone marrow that was a perfect match for Tunn Lynn. His younger brother Yarja was chosen as the donor. The bone marrow was harvested from Yarjah and grafted to the elder brother. Yarjah had to be given anesthesia for the procedure.

The bone transplant was successful and there were no complications at all during the process. Tunn Lynn responded to the treatment very well and soon his body started producing blood on its own. The process of bone marrow transplant is painful for the donor as well as the recipient, but both the kids showed great resilience. Tunn Lynn had some problems after the transplant which were easily handled. Now they were ready to go back to their country. There Tunn Lynn would undergo a check-up after three months to make sure that everything was fine with him. The reports of the check-up would be sent to Dr. Dharma Choudhary for analysis. The tunn Lynn’s parents are very thankful to Dr. Dharma Choudhary for saving their son from the suffering that he was going through.
