Department of oncology, provides comprehensive management to patients with cancer by surgery, chemotherapy and or radiotherapy including palliation & relief pan.

SURGICAL ONCOLOGY

Backed by extensive state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities in the field of imaging including spiral CT, C arm imaging, endoscopic procedures including fibreoptic laryngo bronchoscopy, nasopharyngoscopy and gastrointestinal endscopy and advanced histology, cytopathology with immuno-histochemistry facilities.

Department of surgical oncology is providing services in the field of breast cancers, head and neck cancers, esophagus and gut cancer, genitourinary malignancies and soft tissue and bony tumours.

It has successfully treated patients with cancers of oral cavity including tongue, laryngeal cancers, breast and thyroid cancers, oesophagus, stomach, colon and rectum cancers, cancers of urinary bladders, kidney, prostate and testis and cancer cervix, ovary, uterus and soft tissue tumours.

All patients are thoroughly evaluated and by combined team of medical & surgical oncologiststaging work up is performed before treatment is planned.

MEDICAL ONCOLOGY

Facilities for chemotherapy in neo-adjuvant and adjuvant setting for solid cancers and haemotological malignancies besides palliative care in advanced malignancies backed by extensive critical care support and blood bank support is available.

Venous access in form of chemoport is provided by surgical oncology.
