DM (Medical Oncology) Training at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology from September 2002 to September 2005.

Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, where I received my DM (Medical Oncology) training is a comprehensive Regional Cancer Centre for research and a UICC member organization. The Institute is also considered as a centre of excellence by WHO for providing training in Medical oncology, Paediatric oncology, Radiation oncology, Surgical oncology, Cancer detection and cancer prevention.

My curriculum included training in chemotherapy planning for solid tumours and haematological malignancies in adults and paediatric patients. I have also been trained in peripheral stem cell transplantation. My training also includes procedures like bone marrow aspiration and biopsy, central line placement and lumbar puncture. Majority of my time was devoted to patient care. I was also involved in regular seminars, mortality meetings, journal club, intra-departmental meeting and tumour boards
